Your home number on a GSM phoneWith our new Pension Credit Home2Mobile service, you can now keep your home telephone number on to your mobile or a Maxcom GSM phone As more people move to mobile phones for cost savings and the convenience of mobile data and full-fibre (FTTP, FTTH) broadband, maintaining a traditional copper-based landline is becoming unnecessary. Instead of disconnecting your home number, simply transfer it to your mobile. Many people have had their home number for years, and for seniors or pensioners, keeping that familiar number can be essential. Home2Mobile is specifically designed to replace your traditional landline with a special SIM, and no mobile data or App is required to use the service. The The Home2Mobile service includes unlimited calls to standard UK landlines and mobile numbers. We also offer a range of DECT GSM and mobile phones Perfect for care homes, this solution can be set up and fully operational within 48 to 72 working hours. It requires no involvement from Openreach to install infrastructure. As a result, our service works on nearly any basic mobile phone. Save on Line RentalAs more people switch to mobile phones to cut fixed-line rental costs and enjoy the convenience of mobility, transferring your landline number to your mobile or GSM phone can help you avoid paying separate monthly rental fees. This way, you only pay one affordable rental for both numbers, instead of two. No need to tell everyoneWith your home number on your mobile or GSM phone, you'll never need to inform anyone about switching off your landline again. This means no more missed calls from your doctor, hospital, or loved ones. Plus, it's more affordable for people to reach you on your home number than to be calling a mobile number. Do I have to use a mobile phone for the Home2Mobile service ? You don’t need a mobile phone. We offer a GSM-based cordless DECT phone that looks and functions like a standard home cordless telephone. The only difference is that it uses a SIM card, which the user can remain completely unaware of. Also consider the following factors:
- Your Location - The further you are from a mobile phone mast, the weaker your signal will be.
- This weaker signal affects quality, reducing call clarity
- Your Local Environment - Hills, buildings, basements, or underground locations can all impact your phone's signal.
- The Weather - Weather conditions like rain and snow can temporarily degrade your router signal.
Additionally, keep in mind that you may not always be connected to the same mobile cell tower. Networks manage customer connections based on the current load on each cell site. You might be switched to a more distant cell site if the nearest one is too busy, which can result in poorer audio quality. An Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) is a device that allows analog telephone equipment to connect to a broadband router or network, enabling communication over the internet via VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). With an ATA, you can use your telephone just as you would on a traditional telephone network. ATA - VoIP telephone service on third party broadband services Our digital telephone service is designed for customers using Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) or Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) connections from providers such as CityFibre, Gigaclear, Giganet, BT, Juice Broadband, KCOM, Vodafone, Sky, TalkTalk, as well as community WiFi-based broadband services and Starlink.
This standalone VoIP service is not compatible with FTTC broadband connections, as transferring your telephone number will cause the line to be lost. We do not recommend using this service with a mobile broadband connection. The service is intended solely for third-party broadband connections like FTTP, FTTH, and Starlink. We cannot provide support for the ATA when connected to a mobile SIM data service. Additionally, EE has confirmed that they do not support VoIP services on their mobile data networks.
Please note, the quality of service depends entirely on the broadband connection you use, which is outside of our control.
