Although we are not required to offer this as a service, we have decided to offer a reduced price on our 1Phone service as we feel it is a vital lifeline for many pensioners, as telephone access is a necessity in almost every aspect of everyday life.

What is an ATA unit, and why do I need one?
An Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) is a device that allows analog telephone equipment to connect to a broadband router or network, enabling communication over the internet via VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). With an ATA, you can use your telephone just as you would on a traditional telephone network.
ATA - VoIP telephone service on third party broadband services
Our digital telephone service is perfect for customers using Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) or Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) connections from providers such as CityFibre, Gigaclear, Giganet, BT, Juice Broadband, KCOM, Vodafone, Sky, TalkTalk, as well as community WiFi-based broadband services and Starlink.
This standalone VoIP service is not compatible with FTTC broadband connections, as moving your telephone number will result in losing the line. We do not recommend running this service over a mobile broadband connection. This telephone only service is built for the use of a third party broadband service only using FTTP, FTTH and Starlink broadband services. We do not offer any support for the ATA if connected to a mobile SIM data service. Also EE also stated that they DO NOT support VoIP service on their Mobile Data services.
Please note that the quality of service depends entirely on the broadband connection you use, which is beyond our control.

Care Alarms and Digital Services - Important Information

If you have a care alarm on the premises, you must inform us BEFORE placing any order.
According to Ofcom regulations, we must be notified if there is a care alarm system on your premises, even if it will not be used with the new digital service. We need to confirm that the alarm will continue to function when the new service goes live. This ensures that those who rely on the alarm for emergency services will not be left unprotected.
We are unable to assess your premises and equipment ourselves and can only relay the information you provide. Therefore, it is crucial that you contact your alarm provider before placing an order. You need to verify that either the alarm does not require the new service to function or that it is compatible with the new service.
Failing to ensure that your alarm will continue to work may endanger the lives of residents.
